A skilled sneaker head is prepared, tactile, and ultimately dressed to kill. Someone who is always looking sharp and taking down the competition.
We’re counting down 4 styles that will turn you into a major sneaker head. From glitter embellishments to eye-catching platforms, the little details make these shoes an instant must haves.
1. KAWS x Air Jordan IV
Legendary graffiti artist Brian “KAWS” Donnelly served up his own take on the IV. The resulting sneaker is bare of any traditional plastic details, and instead is entirely comprised of premium grey suede, right down to the cage and is finished with a glow-in-the-dark outsole.
2. Adidas NMD R1 ‘OG’
NMD_R1 is undoubtedly one of the most popular sneakers of 2016 for heads of all ages. Capitalizing on the silhouette’s massive popularity, Adidas brought back the OG colourway, featuring a black upper, complete with red and blue plugs in the midsole.
3. Our Legacy x Vans
Vault by Vans joined forces with Stockholm menswear brand Our Legacy for a collaborative capsule that drew inspiration from California hardcore punk culture. Classic sneaker silhouettes like the Half Cab, Sk8-Mid, Old Skool and Authentic were imagined in bold orange, black and white color schemes. The elevated footwear offerings were also complimented by an apparel range in matching tones.
4. Yeezy Boost 350 V2
If the YEEZY Boost craze wasn’t big enough already, another rendition of the shoe sure added fuel to the fire. Colloquially named the “Zebra V2” by sneakerheads on the internet, but wasn’t explicitly named as such by Adidas. The release was limited to Adidas online and Originals stores, driving resale prices through the roof.
